Who We Are

Hong Kong expats are always up for a party. The more elaborate the event and the more detailed the dress code, the better. So for the entirety of my 14 years living there–before moving to Lake Tahoe in 2020–I made the most of that fact and hosted an event for everything I could think of: Cinco de Mayo, Spanish tapas night for my wine club, a farewell party paying homage to my friends’ home countries, a Southern feast for my book club, Thanksgiving dinner for 30 people. And of course a birthday party for each of my three girls as they grew up there, from fairies to Star Wars to American Girl Dolls.

Before hosting Hong Kong & Tahoe soirées, I spent 10 years living and working in New York: copyediting at ELLE, marketing at Sothebys, a year at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Before that, studying art history at the University of Michigan and in Florence, soaking up all the Renaissance beauty inside and out of museums and churches. Essentially I try to follow the lead of Elsie de Wolf, who said, “I shall make everything around me beautiful, that will be my life.” But I’ll take it a step further and try to make everything around you beautiful too.

Since repatriating to the US, I’ve kept the party going, hosting intimate events for the Swedish Summer Solstice, Italian Aperitivo cocktails, Chinese New Year, and a Vintage American Christmas fête, to name a few. Now I want to put my creative ideas to work for you. If you have a specific idea, great! I’ll get right to work. If you don’t know what you want, also great! I’ll get right to work brainstorming ideas with you, to create something truly one of a kind.
